Another draw for Le Havre
Bet 1: Back The Draw in Le Havre v Guingamp @ 21/10 – KO 19:45 GMT
The hosts have drawn 50% of their 14 Ligue Two matches this season, and three of those have come from their last four on this ground.
They drew with Nancy and Lorient at home most recently, and they even shared the points at Valenciennes, at the end of October.
Guingamp have drawn five of their 14 outings to date, including two of their last five on the road. The difference between the two teams in the standings is just a single point, and neither side stands out as a likely winner today.
SPAL to take the spoils against fellow strugglers
Bet 2: Back SPAL @ 8/5 – KO 19:45 GMT
It’s second bottom versus fourth from bottom in Serie A this evening, and the value is with the hosts, given home advantage.
Leonardo Semplici’s men finished 13th last season, but things haven’t been going so great this time around. They have taken just eight points from their opening dozen games, but it’s worth noting that seven of them have come at home.
SPAL have beaten Lazio and Parma here this year, and also held Napoli. Admittedly they have endured some disappointing results against lesser opposition, but they have at least proven they are capable of better.
The visitors are Genoa, and after narrowly surviving last season, they look up against it again this year. Thiago Motta has been drafted in as manager, but after opening up with a 3-1 win over bottom club, Brescia, his side have gone on to take just one point from a possible nine.
Attack to outshine defence at Villa Park
Bet 3: Back BTTS in Aston Villa v Newcastle @ 8/11 – KO 20:00 GMT
Steve Bruce returns to his former club in the Monday Night Football game, and while I am not sure what the result will be, I do fancy there to be goals at both ends.
A pair of 2-1 defeats against Liverpool and Wolves sent Aston Villa into the international break in the doldrums, and while they are 17th in the league, they have played some good stuff since their promotion.
Keeping clean sheets has been their main issue, and this selection would have landed in six of their last seven in the Premier League – including their last three at home.
The Magpies have found their scoring touch of late, with six goals across their three most recent outings. The attackers are still struggling to put the ball in the net, but they look dangerous, and surely it’s only a matter of time before everything clicks for them.
