Winger Fahid Ben Khalfallah has backed himself to play a key role in Melbourne Victory’s bid to win the A-League double.
Victory take on Sydney FC in the Grand Final on Sunday aiming to use home advantage at AAMI Park to help them edge the Sky Blues.
All three meetings between the teams in the regular season ended in draws, and there is every indication the decider will be tight.
Only three points separated the sides in the final table, and both came through last weekend’s semi-finals with three-goal wins.
If we play our best football, no one can beat us.

Victory are 2.25 to beat Sydney, who are 3.20 with the draw 3.50.
Ben Khalfallah’s signing in pre-season by coach Kevin Muscat has been one of the key ingredients in the team’s success – he finished third in voting for the Johnny Warren Medal as the league’s Player of the Year.
The Tunisia international says one of the first things he asked Muscat when the deal was proposed was whether he felt the championship was an achievable target – given that it is six years since they won a Grand Final.
“In my first meeting with Kevin I ask ‘do you think we can win?’ and he said, ‘yeah, we have a good team and I think we can’,” revealed Ben Khalfallah, who is 4.50 to score in the Grand Final.
“If we play our best football, no one can beat us. We have to win it.”
He added: “I can’t win alone, by myself, I know that, but I know if I play my best football I can bring something for the team, push the team, I know I can be important.”
Victory have a clean bill of health for the Grand Final, Besart Berisha having recovered from the flu that kept him out of training on Tuesday.
