It’s Championship action for Paul Robinson today as he thinks that Norwich’s promotion hopes will be dented by Nottingham Forest.
Norwich v Nottingham Forest
Saturday March 21, 15:00 GMT
The race for the Premier League is getting serious now as four or five teams are right in the mix for automatic promotion. One of those is Norwich, but their chance has been hindered by a pair of draws in the last week. They were held at Carrow Road by Derby and then failed to win at Huddersfield.
In fact, Alex Neil’s side have dropped five points in their last two outings in front of their own fans, as not only couldn’t beat the out of sorts, Derby, prior to that, they lost 1-0 to the struggling, Wigan.
Nottingham Forest are making a late charge at the play-offs as Dougie Freedman has got them winning again since he replaced Stuart Pearce. They won again in midweek and that means that they are now only eight points adrift of the top six, which isn’t an impossible task to overcome in this league.
Forest have been beaten just once in their last five away matches, so a trip to East Anglia won’t fill them with fear. Due to the gap between themselves and Brentford, there isn’t much margin for error, so they will be well up for this match from the off.
This is a hard one to call, but I just feel that the visitors represent a bit of value. That’s why, with Norwich trading at around the 1.748/11 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
