Eddie Howe hailed his ‘magnificent’ Bournemouth players after they all but sealed promotion on Monday by beating Bolton Wanderers 3-0.
Six years ago the Cherries finished 21st in League Two, but after clinching promotion the following season, they moved up to the Championship by finishing second in League One two years ago.
Last term Bournemouth were tenth but will be playing in the Premier League next season, unless there is a bizarre set of results this weekend.
This club was on its knees six years ago, we had nothing.

In 2008 the Cherries were five minutes away from being liquidated, but only defeat to Charlton Athletic, a Middlesbrough victory and a 20-goal swing on the final day of Championship action, can deny them a place in the top-flight.
Watford sealed promotion to the Premier League on Saturday, but Middlesbrough and Norwich City will have to try their luck in the play-offs.
Howe said: “This club was on its knees six years ago, we had nothing.
“A group of supporters put their money in their pockets to keep the club alive and they are reaping the rewards. It is the club I watched as a kid, the club that gave me an opportunity in the game as a player and a manager.
“It shouldn’t be them thanking me, it should be me thanking them. It is a family club and deserves its moment in the sun.
“It is never a journey we expected to go on but through some hard work and some investment we managed to do it. The players have been magnificent and it is an achievement they deserve.”
Bournemouth are 7.00 to finish the season in style by beating Charlton 2-0, while a 1-1 draw at The Valley is available at 8.00.
