Huddersfield Town boss Chris Powell has urged Ishmael Miller to show he is worthy of being handed a new deal with the club.

The Terriers signed the 28-year-old in January until the end of this season and he has impressed in his time with the club, finding the net twice in ten appearances.

“I think Ishmael has shown everyone that there is a player there,” said former Charlton Athletic boss Powell.

Ishmael is playing for his future, and it’s up to him. He’s a likeable guy who has fitted in well here.

“He has had some good moves in the past, and now he is trying to adapt to us.

Miller started his career at Manchester City and has also played for West Brom, Nottingham Forest and Blackpool before joining Town earlier this year.

Huddersfield are available at 2.87 to beat Ipswich Town on Easter Monday. The Terriers are 51.00 to be relegated to League One this season.
