Derby defender Craig Forsyth is confident his side can get back to winning ways and get their promotion campaign back on track.

The Rams have gone six Championship games without a win, a run dating back to the end of February, and now face a real battle to secure a top six finish.

Derby are six points adrift of leaders Bournemouth and only a point clear of seventh placed Brentford but Forsyth is confident results will improve.

Steve McLaren’s side host Watford on Friday in what could be a pivotal fixture, as the Hornets are currently second in the table and five points ahead of Derby.

Forsyth says confidence remains high within the Derby camp despite four losses in their last six games.

“We know the seven games we have coming up are tough,” he told the club’s official Twitter page. “The mood is good and everyone is looking forward to the challenge.

“We know what is required. We’ve perhaps not had luck on our side lately, but we can’t moan about that. We have to stay positive

“We are aiming as high as possible. We want to get as many points as we can now and see where it takes us. We want to challenge.

“Getting a win on the board will hopefully get us on a run again. We can’t dwell on the past and know we can win successive games.”

Derby are 2.10 to see off Watford on Friday or 15.00 to win 3-1.
