Hull City boss Steve Bruce has warned his players that they face a massive game at the weekend, when they welcome fellow strugglers Burnley to the KC Stadium.
The Tigers stand just one point outside the drop zone with three games to play, having been beaten 3-1 at home by Arsenal on Monday evening.
We still have it all to do and it is a big game, we are aware of that.
And Bruce is now preparing his squad for what is sure to be a full-blooded encounter on Humberside on Saturday, with the Clarets needing a win to keep their survival hopes alive for another week.
The importance of the game is magnified by the fact that City face Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in their final two games of the campaign.
Bruce warned: “We have to respond. We have to dust ourselves down and get ready for the weekend and the next few games, because we are still in there with a shout.
“The Burnley game is not going to keep us up or send us down, because there are still two games after that.
“We still have it all to do and it is a big game, we are aware of that. A (positive) result will be good.”
Hull had won their previous two Premier League games before being soundly beaten by the Gunners, winning 2-0 at Crystal Palace before securing a 1-0 victory at home to Liverpool thanks to a Michael Dawson header.
City can be backed at 1.90 to defeat Burnley on Saturday, with the draw 3.50, while the Tigers are 5.00 to be relegated come the end of the season.
