Burnley have been relegated from the Premier League even after beating Hull City 1-0 on Saturday.
Danny Ings scored the only goal of the game but the Tigers are now in grave danger of joining them in the Championship next season.
Hull face Tottenham and Manchester United in their final two fixtures and Steve Bruce’s team are available at 17.00 to beat Spurs 1-0 next weekend.
They gave everything, they all want to stay up and the fans were great.
Hull’s woes worsened as Sunderland beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday lunchtime while Leicester City and Aston Villa both picked up three points later in the day.
Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat said after his side’s triumph on Merseyside: “It was good we won, it was not our best game but it was effective. It could be very important.
“Everton were the better side but it is all about winning, give 100 per cent and show the fans what they want and that is what we did.
“They gave everything, they all want to stay up and the fans were great. They give the players something extra.”
QPR look set to be relegated on Sunday as they play Manchester City who are 9.00 to win the encounter 3-0.
