Ivory Coast international Kolo Toure and young defender Andre Wisdom have penned new contract extensions with Liverpool.

The 34-year-old Toure moved to Anfield on a free transfer from Manchester City in July 2013 and has made 45 first-team appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side in the last two seasons.

Toure moved to England in 2002 when he signed for Arsenal and spent more than seven years with the Gunners before signing for City in the summer of 2009.

He went on to feature in 82 Premier League matches for City, helping the club win the title three seasons ago.

Meanwhile, Wisdom has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The 22-year-old has made 22 first-team appearances for Liverpool since being handed his debut by Rodgers in a Europa League tie against Young Boys in September 2012.

The England Under-21 defender joined West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan in July 2014, and he went on to make 24 Premier League appearances for the Baggies in the season just ended.

He also featured in 34 Championship matches for Derby County during a loan spell with the Rams in 2013/14.

Last week 19-year-old winger Jordon Ibe and 22-year-old defender Jon Flanagan penned new deals with the club.

Liverpool are 21.00 to win the 2015/16 Premier League title outright, while Manchester City can be backed at 4.00.
