Angel Di Maria is adamant that he will still be a Manchester United player next season despite enduring a difficult first year at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old Argentina international moved to United from Real Madrid for £59.7million on the final day of last summer’s transfer window and made a bright start to life with Louis van Gaal’s side.
However, his form tailed off in the second half of the season and he picked up a red card in the FA Cup sixth round defeat to Arsenal.
I finished second in assists and scored some goals so I think I did well.

Van Gaal used Di Maria sparingly in the final weeks of the campaign, although he started the draw at Hull City on the last day of the season.
Di Maria, who is currently preparing for Argentina’s Copa America campaign, said: “I will play the Copa America and then move back to Manchester for next season and do my best.
“It was hard last season. It was another country and this league is harder than the Spanish one.
“Under Van Gaal I played in lots of positions until he decided to bench me. I finished second in assists and scored some goals so I think I did well.”
Di Maria scored three goals in 27 Premier League appearances for United in the 2014/15 season and found the net once in five FA Cup matches.
United are 6.00 to win the Premier League title in 2015/16, while Argentina are available at 3.00 to win the Copa America outright.
