Burnley striker Danny Ings.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche felt his side deserved to get something out of the game after Saturday’s defeat to Swansea.

The Clarets slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Turf Moor and remain in the Premier League’s bottom three but only goal difference separates them from QPR in 17th spot.

Dyche was pleased with Burnley’s overall performance but concedes his side must learn how to grind out results if they are to move clear of the drop zone.

“It’s a frustrating one because the general play, apart from being just off with that real edge we play with, was good,” he told the club’s official website.

“I was certainly pleased with the way we were trying to win the game because that was apparent.

“It was just the fine margins of the Premier League I felt, but we know we have to turn performance into wins.

“There is no naivety to my positivity; we know we have to win games because points are hard to come by in this league.”

Burnley have now gone six games without a win, a run that has included four defeats, and they are available at 3.25 not to be relegated.

The Clarets face a tough trip to Liverpool on Wednesday and Dyche’s side are 9.00 to take all three points.
