Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao says he will be looking for a club that can offer him regular first-team football come the end of the season.

The Colombia international opted to join United from Monaco on loan last summer but has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford.

The 29-year-old has found the back of the net four times in 22 appearances, and his mentor Silvano Espindola recently revealed his time with the Red Devils had reduced him to tears on occasions.

Falcao has failed to start a game for Louis van Gaal’s men since February and was recently ordered to play for the club’s reserves.

United have the option to make the South American’s loan deal permanent come the end of the campaign but that looks unlikely given his lack of action in the second half of the season.

Falcao hopes he can still make an impact in Manchester in the remaining eight games of the season but has indicated he will explore other options come the end of the term, stating he has been contacted by other clubs.

“Calls are coming in every day so I need to stay calm. I stay out of it and let other people handle this situation,” Falcao told Colombian television station Win Sports.

“I need to find a place where I have continuity and I can play.

“When the season finishes, I will obviously sit down and analyse things and decide what is best for me.”

He added: “I am playing for Manchester United at the moment. I am completely focused on the club. I have faith and hope that lots of things can happen in the remaining games this season.”

With Robin van Persie set to make his return from injury after the international break, Falcao’s ambitions to feature more regularly for United appear to be under threat.

United face Aston Villa on Saturday 4th April, with the Red Devils 1.33 for the win. The Villans are 9.00 and the draw is 5.00.

After last week’s win at Liverpool, United are 1.25 to finish in the top four this season, with the Reds 4.33 and Tottenham 11.00.
