Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has warned his side that they face a tough task in trying to win a third Premier League title in five years next season.

The Citizens took the honours in both 2011/12 and 2013/14, while finishing second in both seasons which followed their successes.

That included last term, when they were eight points adrift of champions Chelsea and Hart is expecting another tough campaign next season, with Manchester United and Arsenal also expected to be involved in the title race.

England goalkeeper Hart told the Manchester Evening News: “It’s a hard league to win. We have proved that both times we won it – we just about won it because it’s such a difficult league to win.

“Chelsea made it look a bit easier than we should have let them last season, but that’s credit to them.

“Now it’s a new season and we start again we are trying to make improvements like everyone and it’s down to the 38 games.”

City are available at 3.75 to be crowned champions in 2015/16, with Chelsea 2.50 and Arsenal 5.50.

Meanwhile, Hart is backing England colleague Fabian Delph to be a regular starter with City, with the midfielder having recently completed an £8million move from Aston Villa.

“He can hold down a place, comfortably,” Hart added. “He has really flourished in the past two years and last season, especially, he was amazing.

“If he wants to push himself with his career, play Champions League, it was a good decision by him.”
