Jordan Henderson hopes to remain with Liverpool for “many years”.

Midfielder Jordan Henderson is ready to commit his long-term future to Liverpool.

The midfielder falls out of contract next summer but remains relaxed over a new deal, and Henderson insists he has no desire to leave Anfield any time soon.

He told the Liverpool Echo: “I love playing football for Liverpool and I want to be there for many years.

“In terms of my contract, I think everybody else will make a big deal of it but for me it’s just letting my agent and the club deal with it and whenever it gets sorted, it gets sorted. All I want to do is my best for club and country.”

Liverpool are still involved in the FA Cup and take on Blackburn in a quarter-final replay next month, with Aston Villa awaiting the victor in the last four.

Henderson feels the Reds are a side who are capable of landing silverware and hopes to win titles during his time with Liverpool.

He added: “At Liverpool we’ve got fantastic players, real quality players and a lot of potential.

“We’re a young team and I think there is great potential and a big part of us is wanting to be winners and winning trophies. I really feel we can do that.”

Liverpool are 3.00 to win the FA Cup outright or 4.33 to finish in the top four in the Premier League.
