Burnley striker Danny Ings says he will be looking to play regular football in the Premier League when he moves on in the summer.
The 23-year-old looks set to leave Turf Moor at the end of the current campaign when his contract expires with the Clarets.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with Ings ahead of the summer transfer window but the player himself wants to make sure he is playing regularly in the top flight.
Ings told the Independent: “One thing I don’t want to do is go somewhere and all of a sudden disappear for a while.
“Somewhere you don’t get a look-in.
“You don’t want to have a good couple of years, come through the Championship, have a good first year in the Premier League and then not play in the Premier League for another year or so because that is a backward step.
“No matter what contract anyone is on, it is important that you are playing football.”
Burnley are 1.36 to be relegated from the Premier League this season.
