England under-21 striker Danny Ings says he is delighted to be joining Liverpool this summer as he believes the Merseyside outfit is a ‘special club’.
Having impressed at Turf Moor with Burnley last season, the Reds moved quickly to snap up the forward, who was set to see his contract run out at the Lancashire outfit this summer.
The 22-year-old, who will officially join Liverpool on 1st July, has thanked the Clarets for his time at the club but he is now looking forward to the challenge of playing at Anfield next term.
He tweeted: “Thanks to Burnley for four brilliant years. The fans backed me every step of the way, I will never forget that. Good luck always.
“Thanks for your messages. Delighted to be joining Liverpool FC – a special club with great players. I will give everything to be successful.”
Ings scored 11 goals in 35 appearances in his maiden campaign in the Premier League and will be looking to build on that when he links up with the Reds this summer.
Liverpool can be backed at 3.75 to finish in the top four of the Premier League next season and are 21.00 to be crowned champions.
