Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is determined to build on a superb breakthrough season which saw him become a full international for England.
The 21-year-old netted 31 times in all competitions for Spurs last term, while in March he marked his first appearance for the senior England side with a goal in a 4-0 Euro 2016 qualifying win over Lithuania.
Hopefully, I can go on to do better and bigger things.
And Kane is keen to work as hard as he must to maintain those standards in the coming campaign, with Tottenham having finished fifth in the Premier League in 2014/15.
He told theFA.com: “It’s just the start for me and I’ve proved to myself that I can do it at the top level, so I’m gaining confidence.
“There’ll be bumps along the way, it’s never just a straight curve up and there’s always things that challenge you as a player and a person and I’m sure there will be plenty of that to come.
“But it’s how you deal with that and I’m level-headed, so I just try to keep my head down and working hard and that’s what I want to do.
“Hopefully, I can go on to do better and bigger things.”
Kane found the net 21 times in the Premier League last season, finishing as the second highest scorer behind Manchester City ace Sergio Aguero, who scored 26 times to head the charts.
The Spurs starlet can be backed at 13.00 to be leading goalscorer in the English top-flight next season, with Aguero 4.00 and Arsenal’s Chilean star Alexis Sanchez 17.00.
