Kristoffer Nordfeldt is hoping to become Swansea City’s regular first-choice goalkeeper after completing his move from Heerenveen to the Liberty Stadium.
The Swans have signed the Sweden international for £600,000 and he will compete with Lukasz Fabianski for the goalkeeper’s shirt.
Nordfeldt only had a year left on his contract in Holland, but has penned a three-year deal with Swansea, where he replaces Gerhard Tremmel.
Of course I am looking forward to the challenge of competing with Lukasz Fabianski.
“Of course I am looking forward to the challenge of competing with Lukasz Fabianski,” he said. “I know he had a really good season last season – the whole club had a really good season.
“But I am looking forward to meeting the rest of the lads. I have an okay picture of the club and the way of playing. I think this is the right step for me to take from the Dutch Eredivisie to Swansea in the Premier League.”
Swansea can be backed at 2.25 to finish in the top half of the table next season while they are available at 9.00 to be relegated.
