Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says any club interested in signing winger Yannick Bolasie should be thinking of a transfer fee in the region of £20m.
The Palace boss was responding to suggestions that the DR Congo internationals’ recent form has made him a £10m summer transfer target for some of the Eagles Premier League rivals.
However, according to Pardew any prospective buyers will have to pay a hefty fee.
Pardew said: “They need to have a look at that, because he is worth double,” when the figures were mentioned.
Bolasie hit the headlines with an 11-minute hat-trick against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last weekend as Palace continued their good form by making it four wins from their last five Premier League games.
Since Pardew took over at Selhurst Park from Neil Warnock in January, Palace have lost just three league games and have risen to 11th place in the table.
They welcome West Brom on Saturday and the home side are 1.95 to get another three points.
We’re in a terrific mood, in terms of confidence. We have great momentum.
Former boss Tony Pulis will return to Selhurst Park for the first time since departing the club last August but his Baggies side are low on confidence after losing at home to Leicester last weekend.
West Brom are 4.50 with the draw at 3.50.
Pardew says Palace are now targeting further progress before the season is over.
“We’re in a terrific mood, in terms of confidence. We have great momentum.
“We’re more expansive now, we have a great attacking set-up. I think we’re exciting to watch and we have new goals to break into the top ten,” he added.
Crystal Palace are 9.00 to defeat West Brom 2-0 on Saturday.
