Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini insists he is only concerned about winning football matches and not about whether his job is under threat.
City slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace on Monday evening, a result that leaves them fourth in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
The setback at Selhurst Park was City’s seventh league defeat of the campaign and they have won just five matches since the turn of the year.
I just do my work and I am very happy.

Speculation about Pellegrini’s future at City has been commonplace for several weeks and it has intensified in the wake of Monday’s result.
However, the Chilean replied when asked about his future at the Etihad Stadium: “No, I am not concerned about my job. That’s the only thing I am never concerned about.
“I just do my work and I am very happy and I think the team are maybe having a difficult season, but never worry about me.
“You ask me the same question every game, and I’ll tell you the same answer: we are not thinking about Chelsea, or the title, we are trying to win our games.
“After that, when we finish the season, we will see which place we can be in the table. it does not depend on what we can do because what happens to Chelsea. We just try to win our games.”
City face Manchester United on Sunday and can be backed at 11.00 to edge the derby 2-1, with a 1-1 draw available at 6.50. City are now 1.05 to finish in the top four this season, while United are available at 1.10.
