Boss Brendan Rodgers has called on his Liverpool side to remain ‘aggressive’ as they go in search of a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

The Reds have won seven of their last eight league games to close in on a top-four spot, with Rodgers delighted with an upturn in form which appears to have come at just the right time.

We know we need to continue playing and working as hard as we have done.

Ahead of a trip to former club Swansea City on Monday evening, Rodgers said: “We just need to ensure we continue to be aggressive in our game and give everything that we have between now and the end of the season.

“The points total is all very close and very tight, but we just have to focus on the next game. We know we need to continue playing and working as hard as we have done.

“A number of the teams have been up there for a lot of the season. We’ve re-joined the race for that in the last three months.

“I think it’s going to be very tight, of course. We’re really looking forward to these remaining games now. Everything counts in the games.”

Former City midfielder Joe Allen is expected to recover from a thigh problem and should feature at the Liberty Stadium, with Liverpool 2.05 to win the game, 2.62 to keep a clean sheet and 9.50 to triumph by a 2-1 scoreline.
