Angel di Maria will reportedly depart Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain if the French champions will pay £52million.
French daily L’Equipe is claiming that the 27-year-old Argentina international, who is poised to link up with his United team-mates on their tour of the United States later this week, would like a move to the Parc des Princes this summer.
Di Maria endured a difficult first season in the Premier League following a near £60million switch from Real Madrid last summer and it seems he would prefer a move to play in Ligue 1 next term.
However the major stumbling block is that United are looking to recoup as much money as possible for di Maria and PSG are not keen to meet the current valuation of £52million.
If di Maria does depart, the Daily Mirror is claiming United boss Louis van Gaal will turn to 27-year-old Barcelona star Pedro as a direct replacement and will try and tempt the Spanish and European champions to part with him for a round £18million.
United have parted company with winger Nani and striker Robin van Persie already this summer as Turkish side Fenerbahce pounced to take the duo to the Super Lig.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been relatively quiet in the transfer market in comparison to the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City and the Portuguese tactician will not push the boat out to sign Juventus’ £70million-rated star Paul Pogba.
He told the Telegraph: “I think everybody has an interest in Pogba. But there are things you can do and things you cannot do. I love the Eiffel Tower but I can’t have the Eiffel Tower in my garden.”
The Sun is reporting that they will make a third swoop on the Premier League by securing a deal to sign Tottenham and England international wide man Aaron Lennon.
Meanwhile Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is pondering a bid to keep Manchester City’s Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko in the Premier League.
The striker is poised to leave the Etihad Stadium because of a struggle for regular first-team football and looked set to move to Italy.
But Wenger could try and tempt City with a bid of around £20million, according to The Sun.
Finally, Stoke City boss Mark Hughes confirmed on Saturday that he wants to make one more ‘top, top quality’ signing this summer and was linked with Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko.
The Stoke Sentinel is claiming he will now firm up his interest by making a club-record £15million swoop to take the 25-year-old to the Britannia Stadium.
