Manchester United manger Louis van Gaal has said the club are working on a “solution” to Radamel Falcao’s indifferent form.
The 29-year-old striker has scored just four goals in 20 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit since joining the club on loan from Monaco last summer.
You can give fantastic performances in another country but not in the country that you are present for. That is not the first example and it will not be the last example.

The Colombian played for the under-21 side against Tottenham on Tuesday, 24 hours after watching United’s FA Cup defeat to Arsenal from the bench.
Van Gaal said that he had not intended to humiliate Falcao and that the striker had reacted to the move in the right way, stressing that he had “tried his utmost best” despite not having the best of games.
Falcao’s loan deal is due to expire at the end of the season, when United need to decide whether to buy him for £43.2m. He has started just two of United’s last five games and is unlikely to feature from the start against Tottenham on Sunday.
United are 1.90 to win this clash, with Spurs 4.33 and the draw 3.75.
When asked about Falcao’s form, Van Gaal said: “We are looking for the solution.
“You can give fantastic performances in another country but not in the country that you are present for. That is not the first example and it will not be the last example.”
He added: “In a club like Manchester United it is more difficult than in a minor club because here he has his competitors. Now Wayne (Rooney) is playing there and Wayne is scoring so you always have to compare players with each other but you need also luck.”
Van Gaal also believes that United can finish second in the Premier League as they face Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea in the coming weeks.
However, the Dutch tactician admits the main aim for the season is to qualify for the Champions League, with United currently occupying the fourth and final berth. They are 2.00 to finish in the top four this campaign.
