Unai Emery is refusing to take anything for granted even though his Sevilla side lead Fiorentina 3-0 going into Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second leg tie.
Sevilla have a brilliant recent record in the competition, having beaten Benfica in last year’s final and also lifting the trophy in 2006 and 2007 when it was known as the UEFA Cup.
Aleix Vidal scored a brace for the Spanish side in last week’s first leg and, although Vincenzo Montella’s side had opportunities to score, they failed to take them, and Kevin Gameiro added a third goal for Sevilla.
We’ve got to be on our toes at all times.

Mario Gomez missed a particularly good chance for Fiorentina and is 1.95 to score at any time in the second leg, which the Italian side can be backed at 8.50 to edge 2-1.
However, a wary Emery said in the build-up to the match: “We’re very aware that we are close to the final and we have prepared for this match disregarding the first-leg result. We cannot think it will be so clear-cut again. We’re very motivated. Our only thought is on competing and playing our best.
“We’re going to have to be careful because we know they will be very motivated. We have to give a good performance, and a good performance comes when you play to win.
“We have to keep our concentration from the very first to the very last second. I want my team to be playing in the 80th minute like we were in the first minute. We’ve got to be on our toes at all times.”
