Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique is confident that there is more to come from his side after they eased through to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
A 2-0 home win over Paris St-Germain completed a 5-1 quarter-final aggregate success, with Enrique now urging his side to go on and challenge for Champions League glory once again.
Our objective is to be better than our next opponents in the Champions League.
He told reporters after a comfortable win in the Camp Nou: “I hope the best is yet to come this term. The players have worked hard all season to stay in the running for every trophy.
“It would be a meagre ambition just to reach the semi-finals. Our target, taking into account all the hard work and the players we have, is to go further.
“Our objective is to be better than our next opponents in the Champions League.”
Barcelona are now 2.75 to win the Champions League, with Bayern Munich 2.75 and Juventus 8.50.
Meanwhile, PSG coach Laurent Blanc says his club will continue trying to build on their progress in the Champions League in recent times.
He told L’Equipe: “Barcelona followers know the patience it takes to win the Champions League. It takes resources, but also patience.
“The first teams qualified for the semi-finals are Barcelona and Bayern Munich – the elite is there, as usual. Paris’ day will certainly come, but you must understand that it takes time.”
