Pep Guardiola says he has no intention of leaving Bayern Munich before his contract expires at the end of next season.
Rumours linking the Spaniard with Manchester City were put to the 44-year-old in a press conference but he says his plans are to remain at Bayern.
“My future is: Wednesday free, Thursday training, and, of course, next year to be here. That’s my future,” said Guardiola.
With Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini coming under increasing pressure, it is thought that the club could turn towards Guardiola should they decide to dispense with the Chilean.
Guardiola is focusing on turning around a 3-1 first leg deficit when Bayern entertain Porto in their Champions League quarter final second leg.
If you win, you’re a genius. If you lose, you have lots of problems, but that’s the nature of my job.
The former Barcelona boss admits the defeat in Portugal has turned the heat up on him.
“This is a big club, so you can’t say we are in a cosy situation,” said Guardiola.
“If you win, you’re a genius. If you lose, you have lots of problems, but that’s the nature of my job.”
Bayern are 1.36 to win the second leg against Porto on Tuesday while they are 2.00 to qualify for the last four.
Guardiola admits defeat to Porto would be a huge blow to Bayern despite the club being on course for a domestic league and cup double this season.
“I know which club I am at, it isn’t enough to win the Bundesliga and the cup.
“Only a treble is enough for a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern, but I am proud to be here with these players.”
Bayern Munich are 5.00 to win the Champions League this season while Porto are 17.00.
