Manchester United’s Juan Mata can’t wait to be involved in the Champions League again this season.
Following United’s poor 2013/14 campaign, they were not involved in Europe last season but, after finishing fourth in the Premier League in 2014/15, they have a play-off to look forward to next month, and have a good chance of reaching the group stage of the Champions League.
Former Chelsea star Mata admits it was difficult not being involved in European competition last term, particularly as he had been part of the Blues’ Champions League final success against Bayern Munich in 2012.
Chelsea are 9.00 to win the Champions League again in 2015/16, while United are available at 21.00.
I have been lucky enough to win it. But I am hungry to win it again, for sure.

“Ander Herrera, David de Gea and I watched almost every game every week last season. You watch it but you feel you want to play,” said Mata. “We would watch every Tuesday and Wednesday. The game did not matter – it’s the Champions League.
“I have been lucky enough to win it. But I am hungry to win it again, for sure. This club needs to be there. It needs to be fighting for the Champions League.
“Hopefully we can win the play-off, and we can start the season knowing that we are going to play in the Champions League and Old Trafford knows it can enjoy European football.”
United are 6.00 to win the Premier League title outright this season and 2.00 to secure more than 76 points.
