Brendan Rodgers insists he sees his long-term future as being at Liverpool and is keen to bring the glory days back to the club.
Rodgers has been in charge at Anfield since the summer of 2012 and guided the Reds to a top-four finish last season.
Liverpool have not won the league title since 1990 but are challenging for a top-four finish again this term following a good run of form since the turn of the year, and also have an FA Cup sixth round clash against Blackburn Rovers to look forward to on Sunday.
I chose to come to Liverpool because I hoped I could be here for many years.

Liverpool are 2.10 to clinch a top-four spot this term and 10.00 to beat Championship side Blackburn 2-1 at Anfield.
Rodgers has been mentioned as a possible successor to Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City if they opt to dispense with the Chilean’s services at the end of the season, but Rodgers insisted: “I’ve signed a deal here, and I want to be here to see that through.
“Then I hope I’ll have earned enough time to warrant another deal, to keep growing and building here.
“Where do you go from Liverpool, who are one of the biggest clubs in the world? I chose to come to Liverpool because I hoped I could be here for many years. I find I am developing into the very best I can be.
“I really want to be here and I want to work well and win trophies. I hope that is the next step. When you come here, that is what you are judged on. It is something I want to do for people here.”
Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League table, just two points behind Manchester United with 10 matches of the campaign left to play.
