Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood has backed midfielder Jack Grealish to rise to the occasion in the FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday.
In what has been a breakthrough campaign for the 19-year-old, Grealish could well start the final at Wembley, having impressed in the win over Liverpool in the semi-finals.
The Solihull-born starlet is getting set of the biggest game of his fledgling career to date and Sherwood believes the youngster will not shy away from the occasion.
He said: “Grealish has coped with the pressure up until now, when he is asked to step up he has ticked the boxes.
“The bigger the stage, the better he’s been. There isn’t any bigger stage than this one, so I’m hoping he performs – otherwise we’ll sell him!
“He is great, he loves playing. I don’t think he gets nervous. He doesn’t look the type. He’s a terrific player and we’re happy he’s on our side.”
Arsenal are 1.50 in the match market to win the game in 90 minutes, while Villa are 7.00 and the draw 4.75.
