The agent of Wolfsburg star Kevin De Bruyne says it is far from certain that his client will leave the Bundesliga outfit at the end of the current campaign.

The 23-year-old Belgium international has been a big hit since an £18million move from Chelsea just over a year ago and has been a key figure in Wolfsburg being the closets challengers to Bayern Munich this season.

He has a four-year contract at Wolfsburg, so we will have to see what they want to do.

As a result De Bruyne has been linked with a number of major clubs across Europe, but his representative, Patrick De Koster, says that nothing definite is anywhere near being agreed at the present time.

He told The Guardian: “For the moment, there are no formal discussions. Of course in the next few weeks I will be going around the world to talk about the situation with Kevin, but this is just informal information.

“I will talk to everybody, but Kevin is very, very happy with Wolfsburg and the way they have treated him since he arrived from Chelsea last year.

“There are still five games to play and hopefully they can make sure of a place in the Champions League next season, so it is a little bit too early to be making any decisions.

“He has a four-year contract at Wolfsburg, so we will have to see what they want to do.”

Wolfsburg are still in the DFB-Pokal and will face third-tier Arminia Bielefeld in the semi-finals, with Bayern and Borussia Dortmund meeting in the other last-four clash.

The Wolves can be backed at 3.50 to win the DFB-Pokal outright for the first time in their history, with Bayern 1.66 and Dortmund 5.50.
