Sinisa Mihajlovic has said he hopes AC Milan can bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the San Siro if he decides to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
The 33-year-old has only one year left on his contract with the Ligue 1 champions and this week raised the prospect of ending his career in Germany with Bayern Munich.
“We’d have to see what happens, I don’t know if he’ll leave Paris or not. That’s not up to me. I am here to be a coach, not to work on the transfer market.”
“I still have to decide where to end my career,” the Sweden talisman told German website 11 Freunde. “If I were to go to Germany, it would only be for Bayern Munich, as they are one of the best clubs in the world.”
Influential newspaper Corriere dello Sport has claimed Milan’s city rivals Inter Milan have also joined the race to re-sign Ibrahimovic.
Ibrahimovic scored 57 goals in all competitions in three seasons for the Nerazzurri from 2006 to 2009, before joining Barcelona for one year and then returning to Serie A to seal a controversial move to Milan, where he helped the club win the 2011 Scudetto.
New coach Mihajlovic was quizzed about the 33-year-old and told Sport Mediaset: “He is an important player who has always done well.

Ibrahimovic scored 30 goals in all competitions last season as the French capital giants claimed the domestic treble and reached the Champions League quarter-finals.
Mihajlovic also refused to confirm reports 20-year-old Roma centre-back Alessio Romagnoli will join Milan in the summer.
“I won’t talk about players I do not have at my disposal,” he added. “Romagnoli is an important player with great potential, but he is not Milan’s.”
AC Milan are currently priced 10.00 in next season’s Serie A outright competition winner market.
