Mou trouble for Hellas

Hellas Verona v AS Roma

Jose Mourinho is clearly loving life in the Italian capital, steering his AS Roma side to three comfortable wins since his return to Serie A. The Giallorossi have looked superb in those victories against Fiorentina, Salernitana and Sassuolo as they outscored their opponents by nine goals to two.

It has not gone so well for Hellas however, sacking manager Eusebio Di Francesco this week after losing all three of their league games thus far. They conceded six goals across their two home games, while it must be noted that Roma have scored two or more in each of their last five games and seen over 2.5 goals in six of their last seven away outings.

It is with that in mind that the tip here is Roma to win and over 2.5 goals, a market that is currently available at odds of 2.89/5.

Fast start against sorry Sardinians

Lazio v Cagliari

Live on BT Sport 3

After losing to AC Milan last weekend, Lazio will be looking to bounce back strongly against Cagliari on Sunday evening. The Sardinian side have also changed managers this week, bringing in former Watford boss Walter Mazzarri after losing their two of their first three games of the season under his predecessor.

He certainly has his work cut out in this clash, Lazio having scored six goals in their only home game so far this term. While Cagliari are winless in their last six league games, Sunday’s opponents have won 13 of their last 14 home matches and have made fast starts in all but one of their games so far.

In wins over Empoli and Spezia, Maurizio Sarri’s men were winning 3-1 at half time, and it is with that information that the tip here is the home side to be winning at HT and over 2.5 goals, a market that is currently available at odds of 7.06/1.

Osimhen too much for Udinese

Udinese v Napoli
Monday September 20, 19:45
Live on BT Sport 1

At first glance, Udinese have enjoyed a good start to the season with seven points from their first three games. A closer look however shows that while they deserve huge credit for fighting back to earn a point against Juventus, wins over Venezia and Spezia were expected as both clubs seem set for a long battle to avoid relegation.

Monday night sees a very different prospect in store however, with Napoli heading north to the Dacia Arena. Luciano Spalletti – a former Udinese boss himself – has made an immediate impact on his new side as they have notched three wins out of three, including a superb victory over Juve last weekend.

The Partenopei have won each of their last five away matches in Serie A and have been winning at both half time and full time in each of those contests. Spalletti has given Victor Osimhen a leading role in attack, hoping to help the Nigeria international beat last season’s tally of 10 league goals in a team that is set up to be a free flowing attacking unit.

He has yet to get off the mark this term, but that certainly won’t last and the tip here is Osimhen to score first and Napoli to win, an option that is currently available at odds of 6.09.
