The Daily Acca: Chapecoense to provide some value in Brazil

CRB overpriced against Botafogo

Bet 1: Back CRB @ 23/10 – KO 23:15 BST

Botafogo SP come into the game on the back of three straight defeats and six matches without a win. They are just one place above the relegation zone, and two of the four teams below them have played fewer games.

The visitors are only 10th themselves, but they at least returned to winning ways last time out – beating Juventude 1-0 in the Copa do Brasil.

They are three without a win in the league, but it’s after losing their opening fixture of the season, they have been beaten in just one of their next eight – a run that includes a 2-0 victory at CSA.

Chapecoense to continue their excellent form

Bet 2: Back Chapecoense @ 17/10 – KO 23:15 BST

Chapecoense’s aim of bouncing straight back from relegation is certainly looking achievable so far, as after eight matches in the second tier, they have already earned 17 points.

Wins in their games in hand would see them go top of the league, and they appear to be far too big a price to get the victory tonight.

Neto’s men have won all four of their home matches this term – all without conceding a goal. Visitors, America MG are a decent side in their own right, but they have now lost two of their last three in the league and have started to struggle for goals.

Cruzeiro to let down favourite backers

Bet 3: Back Avai +1 Goal @ 5/4 – KO 01:30 BST (Sat)

Both Cruzeiro and Avai were relegated from the Brazilian Serie A last year, and neither are looking like strong promotion hopefuls this time around.

The hosts are strong favourites here, but I just can’t see it. They were dire in the second half of last season, and they have just eight points from a possible 30 at this lower level.

The visitors are in 13th with 10 points, but they have at least achieved positive results in two of their four on the road.
