Wales international Gareth Bale has indicated that he will still be a Real Madrid player next season.

The 25-year-old moved to Spain from Tottenham two years ago and enjoyed a successful first season with the club, helping Real win the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

However, the campaign just ended has been more difficult for Bale, who has often been vilified by the Bernabeu faithful.

Barcelona have won the La Liga title, while Juventus beat Real in the Champions League semi-finals, and Carlo Ancelotti paid for the disappointing season with his job on Monday.

Not the end of the season we had hoped for, we always want to win trophies.

Bale, who has netted 13 times in 31 La Liga appearances this term, had been linked with a return to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United reportedly ready to prise him away from Spain.

However, Bale has suggested he will still be a Real player next season, tweeting: “Not the end of the season we had hoped for, we always want to win trophies.

“I will be working hard in the off season and looking forward to coming back next season stronger with @realmadrid #HalaMadrid.”

Real can be backed at 2.50 to win La Liga next season, with Barcelona 1.80 and Atletico Madrid 15.00.

Meanwhile, defenders James Chester, Paul Dummett and Adam Matthews have been included in the Wales squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Belgium on 12th June.
